OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY
Keysar Studios, owner of TraditionalRealism.com, ("TraditionalRealism.com"), respects your
right to privacy, and we understand that visitors to http://www.traditionalrealism.com
("Website") or http://traditionalrealism.blogspot.com ("Blog") need to control the uses of their
personal information. TraditionalRealism.com was created (1) to offer exposure, resources,
marketing services, and an online community for realism artists ("Artists") to share photos and
information about their work and (2) to give collectors of realism art ("Collectors") information
about and access to these Artists—collectively known as the "Services".
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding
how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us. Please carefully note that the
information you share for/on our Website and Blog is publicly available to third parties visiting
the Website and Blog, and therefore, you should carefully consider what information you do and
do not wish to disclose. The privacy policy below details the measures taken by us to protect
your ("you" or "user") privacy in connection with your use of our Website, Blog, and Services. (Back to Top)
ACCEPTANCE OF OUR PRIVACY POLICY
Your use of our Website and/or Blog, including any dispute concerning privacy, is subject to this
Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service. BY USING OUR WEBSITE, BLOG, AND/OR
SERVICES, YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE PRACTICES SET OUT IN THIS PRIVACY
POLICY AND OUR TERMS OF SERVICE, AND YOU CONSENT TO THE
COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE PURSUANT TO THIS
PRIVACY POLICY AND THE TERMS OF SERVICE. We reserve the right to modify this
Privacy Policy at any time by posting the changes on this page—http://
www.traditionalrealism.com/privacy_policy.asp. Please check the revision date at the top of this
page to determine if the policy has been modified since you last reviewed it. The current Privacy
Policy will replace all previous Policies and apply to all current and past users of the Website,
Blog, and Services. Your continued use of any portion of our Website and/or Blog or Services
following posting of the updated Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of the changes. (Back to Top)
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit and browse our Website and/or Blog, or use our Services, you may provide us
with two types of information: (1) personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is
collected on an individual basis and (2) usage information collected on an aggregate basis as you
browse our Website and Blog or use our Services.
1. Information You Choose to Disclose
There are two categories of personally identifiable information we collect. The first category is
information we request from you—such as on the artist membership application, artist
membership acceptance and materials submission form, call for entries, or mailing list sign up—before we will permit you to obtain access to certain Services we provide via this Website.
Information such as your name, mailing address, email, website URL, age, telephone number,
and information about your work (Artists) or interests (Collectors). You can chose not to provide
this information, but then you might not be able to gain access to or receive maximum benefit
from our Services. The second category is information you request included on the Website or
directly post on the Blog. By submitting information for inclusion on the Website or by posting
information on the Blog, you are electing to make that information publicly available to third
parties visiting the Website and/or Blog. Therefore, you should carefully consider what
information you do and do not wish to disclose. This notice applies to all information collected
or submitted directly to TraditionalRealism.com or on the Website or Blog. Any content that you
have requested posted or post on the Website or Blog is at your own risk. We cannot control the
actions of other users.
2. Usage Information Collected on an Aggregate Basis
Cookies. Cookies are bits of information that are stored on your computer by your web browser.
We use cookies to collect, store, and sometimes track information for statistical purposes to
improve the Services we provide. Information gathered through cookies may include the date
and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our Website, the websites visited just before
and just after our Website, and other similar information. Our cookies do not store any of your
personal information. Additionally, please be aware that if you visit third-party websites you
may be required to accept cookies. Advertisers and partners may also use their own cookies. We
do not control use of those cookies and expressly disclaim responsibility for information
collected by third parties through cookies. You can choose to have your computer warn you
each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through
your web browser settings. Each browser is a little different, so check your browser Help menu
to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
IP Address. An Internet Protocol ("IP") address is a unique string of numbers assigned to your
computer by your Internet Service Provider. Web servers automatically identify your computer
by its IP address. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to
administer our Website or Blog. Your IP address also may be used to gather broad demographic
information and to recognize customer traffic patterns and site usage. This information aids us in
developing the design and layout of the site.
These technical methods may involve the transmission of information either directly to us or to
another party authorized by us to collect information on our behalf. We may also use these
technical methods in HTML emails that we send out to determine whether recipients have
opened the emails and/or clicked on links in the emails. (Back to Top)
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We may use information we obtain from you to communicate with you, to render our Services,
or to provide information, which you have requested. We use aggregate information to analyze
trends and statistics; improve the Website, Blog, and Services; monitor site and marketing
effectiveness; and to improve the overall customer experience. This information is collected in
ways that keep it non-identifiable.
Artists: We use the information you provide about yourself to market your work to the online
community via the Website and Blog and to potential collectors and to share news regarding our
Services.
Collectors: We use the information you provide about yourself to send you news regarding
potential artists of interest and to share news regarding our Website and Blog. We ask that you
make direct contact with artists whose work you may be interested in. We will not share your
information with our Artists unless asked by you.
To Artists and Collectors:
1. Regarding Information Sharing with Third Parties
We will not share your personally identifiable information with third parties (aside from entities
that perform services for us, such as processing credit card payments, and such entities will
either be bound to comply with our privacy policy or have privacy policies that protect your
information) unless you have "opted-in" to such sharing. Unless otherwise stated,
TraditionalRealism.com does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other
people or companies. TraditionalRealism.com may divulge aggregate information about users,
but will not share personally identifiable information with any third party without your express
consent. We may make our customers' non-personal information available, in aggregate form, to
marketing partners, advertisers, and others in order to assist us in improving our Services and
reaching customers with information that is relevant to them. We may provide aggregate user
information to third parties for analysis, so we can get a better understanding of traffic through
our Website and Blog and thus improve our content offerings. We may use third-party
companies to provide delivery of email newsletters and other messages over email. We may
gather demographic information from you (for example, your age, education level, or household
income) from time to time. We will not share such information with any other person or entity in
a manner that identifies you as an individual, unless we let you know that at the time of
collection, or we have your permission. When we share demographic information with third
parties, we will give them aggregate information only. Sometimes we hire companies to help
deliver products or services, like a shipping company that delivers a package or a company that
helps fulfill prizes for a contest. In those instances, there is a need to share your information with
these companies.
2. Sponsorships
We may occasionally present a special contest or promotion sponsored by an outside company.
To qualify for entry in such contest or promotion, we may ask you to provide personal
information. If we plan to share your personal information with the sponsor(s) or with others, we
will provide a statement to that effect in the contest or promotion terms.
3. Email Communications
TraditionalRealism.com reserves the right to send member artists certain communications
relating to TraditionalRealism.com, such as service announcements and administrative messages,
which are considered part of TraditionalRealism.com membership, without offering you the
opportunity to opt-out of receiving them. In other instances, you may elect to subscribe to a
number of email communications ("Subscribed Emails") providing information, such as new
features, announcements, special promotions and discounts, updates, etc. We will not send you
these Subscribed Emails unless you explicitly consent to receive these emails by checking the
subscriptions boxes when signing up. You may unsubscribe from these Subscribed Emails by
clicking the opt-out link in the email messages or emailing us at opt-out@traditionalrealism.com with your opt-out request. Our
emails may contain code that enables us to track your usage, including whether the e-mail was
opened and/or what links (if any) were clicked. We will combine such information with other
information we have about you and may use this information to improve your experience with
our Website or Blog and/or to provide you with more customized email communications
according to your subscriber preferences. If you choose to correspond with us through email, we
may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our
responses. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Under no circumstances do we rent,
trade, or share your e-mail address with any other company for their marketing purposes without
your consent.
4. Exceptions
Please be aware that we will release specific personal information about you if required to do so
in order to comply with any valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or
court order, or if we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary to share information
in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud,
situations involving potential threats to the physical safety or security of any person or property,
violations of the Terms of Service or competition rules, situations regarding protection of the
safety and security of our sites or databases, instances to protect third parties, or as otherwise
required by law. (Back to Top)
REGARDING LINKS TO OTHER SITES
Our Website and Blog contain hyperlinks and pointers to Internet sites maintained by third
parties. These links are provided for your reference only. We do not control, operate, or endorse
in any respect information, products, or services on such third-party sites, and we are not
responsible for their content. Many third-party sites have their own privacy policies that differ
from ours. This Privacy Policy only covers our Website and Blog and does not cover any other
site. While we make every effort to keep your information secure, we do not control the policies
of other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Website or Blog and to
read the privacy statements of each individual site you visit to determine how your information is
used. (Back to Top)
SECURITY
Although we will exercise reasonable care in providing secure transmission of information
between your computer and our servers, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any
information transmitted to us over the Internet, and we accept no liability for any unintentional
disclosure. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is
100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your
personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Other than our limited security
guarantee, we assume no liability for any disclosure of data due to errors in transmission,
unauthorized third-party access or other acts of third parties, or acts or omissions beyond our
reasonable control. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or invincible. (Back to Top)
OUR COMMITMENT TO CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our Services are intended for users ages 18 and older; however, the Website and Blog are general
audience sites. TraditionalRealism.com will not knowingly collect or use any personal
information from any child that we know to be under age 18. In addition, we will delete any
personally identifiable information that we know originates from a child under age 18.
If a parent believes that his or her child has provided us with personal information, he or she can
contact us at TRFeedback@TraditionalRealism.com. We will promptly delete the information
upon learning that it relates to a child under age 18.
We believe that parents should supervise their children's online activities and consider using
parental control tools available from online services and software manufacturers that help
provide a kid-friendly online environment. These tools can also prevent children from otherwise
disclosing online their name, address, and other personal information without parental
permission. (Back to Top)
HOW TO UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION
You can help us maintain the accuracy of our records by notifying us when you change your
address, website, phone number, email address, preferences, or other information. If at any time
you wish to update your information, please email TRadmin@TraditionalRealism.com. Please
include your current contact information, so we can make the appropriate corrections. To protect
our user's privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before
making corrections. (Back to Top)
YOUR CHOICE TO OPT-OUT OF CERTAIN COMMUNICATIONS
If you are no longer interested in receiving email announcements or other marketing information
from us, please email opt-out@traditionalrealism.com, specify your name and contact
information and a description of the items of which you would like to opt-out. If you have
received an email from us, you can choose to forward the email to opt-out@
traditionalrealism.com with your name and contact information, and we will refrain from
sending you this type of email in the future. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your opt-out request to
be active in our system. Note that you may still receive customer service related
communications from us, if applicable, even if you ask to opt-out of them; such communications
are necessary for the operation of our business and the maintenance of your membership. (Back to Top)
